Native advertising is changing the game, revolutionizing the industry of marketing, and like anything, there is a litany of institutions which have sprung up to acknowledge achievements in the business.

These awards address the best in digital advertising and social media work, albeit often for a high price of entry. Indeed, multiple marketing award organizations charge varying sums for basic entry into contests which are supposedly decided based on merit. It is not a lost notion amongst these yearly laurels that the awards themselves are a business, and that as a B2B transaction both parties profit. While one side gets paid, the other side gains exposure and their own sales staples for their own businesses.

But that isn’t to diminish to importance of these institutions. Here is a selection of the most prestigious accolades for native marketing for you to consider, whether for your edification, or to inspire you with something to reach for in your own work.

1. The MediaPost OMMA Awards

The OMMA Awards were created in 2004 to honor agencies and advertisers that progress the potential of digital advertising. Standing for Online Marketing Media and Advertising,  their awards are divided into three categories, each pertaining to online ad creativity, integrated online campaigns, and web site excellence, respectively. 2. The IAB MIXX

The IAB MIXX Awards celebrate the year’s best in interactive marketing. With the ultimate goal being to serve the marketplace by educating about what works and why in digital marketing.

3. The American Ad Awards

The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs, is the advertising industry’s largest competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Club (Ad Club) competitions.

4. The Mashies

Mashable.com even has there own ad awards! The Mashies is an annual awards program showcasing outstanding digital work in marketing, advertising and social.

 

And there are so many more. If you’re looking to apply, prices vary. The OMMA itself costs $250, while Summit’s International Creative Advertising Award entry costs only $100 for each category. Meanwhile, the IAB MIXX entry costs just shy of $500!
